Approachable, hard-working, and dedicated to providing solutions to all types of condominium-related issues, Francesco strives to deliver the highest level of service to condominium clients.
Francesco earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from York University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. While pursuing his law degree at the University of Ottawa, Francesco completed internships in the areas of insurance defence, litigation,
and condominium law. Francesco graduated from law school in May of 2017 and was called to the Bar in June of 2018.
Condominium law is in Francesco’s DNA. From a young age, Francesco was always passionate about the practice of condominium law. Francesco acknowledges that managing, operating, and/or living in a condominium can present a multitude of unanticipated
problems. Francesco aims to solve these complex problems in a timely and effective manner, and strives to ensure that condominium managers, employees, directors, officers, and residents are able to work and live harmoniously with one another.
As an associate at Deo Condominium Lawyers, Francesco Deo is focused on all areas of condominium law, litigation, and governance. Francesco has conducted and assisted in various condominium-based litigation matters before the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Small
Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. He has also acts as chairperson for condominium meetings and frequently advises condominium boards on a variety of issues, including condominium by-laws and rules, compliance, proxies,
meeting procedures, shared facilities, human rights, vendor contracts, and more.
Francesco’s long-term vision is to give back to the condominium industry, and to help evolve and shape the industry in a positive manner. Francesco’s work has been published in the CondoVoice Magazine. He is also a member of the Canadian Condominium
Institute (CCI) and the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO). Francesco also currently serves on the CCI-Toronto Board of Directors and on the CCI-Toronto Legislative Committee.
