Yulia is an avid litigator who passionately advocates on her clients’ behalf. She works collaboratively with her clients and adopts a conciliatory approach to ensure that her clients’ interests always prevail.
Yulia received a double B.A. (Hons.) in History and Psychology from York University in 2008, graduating with summa cum laude distinctions. She earned her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011.
Yulia was called to the Bar in 2012. Prior to joining Deo Condominium Lawyers, Yulia was an associate lawyer with two prominent Toronto insurance defence litigation firms. She has gained extensive experience as a civil litigator, including acting as co-counsel
on two Ontario Superior Court jury trials.
Yulia was a co-editor for the 2017 LexisNexis Canada Inc. publication of the Ontario Insurance Law & Commentary textbook and has authored several publications in Claims Canada journal. Yulia also volunteers for the OBA/OJEN Ontario Secondary School
Mock Trial Program as a mock trial judge. More recently, Yulia received recognition from the International Advisory Experts (IAE) for her expertise in condominium law.
Yulia practices civil litigation with a primary focus on condominium law and insurance coverage disputes. Yulia also engages in solicitor-side condominium work including, corporate governance and compliance matters, negotiation and drafting of contracts,
and preparation of by-laws and rules.
Yulia is fluent in Russian. Outside of law, Yulia devotes her time to her two young daughters and son, and her husband.
